Why?

Because in the hospital, angels didn't soar around the room

Because instead of feeling like I was dying, I felt alive for the first time

Because our midwife didn't have a hack-saw in her little black bag

Because we are perfectly capable of giving birth without any instruments of binding, measurement, timing, cutting, or destruction.

Because I love my self and my family and wanted to do whatever it would take to be SAFEST.

Because hospital-born pathogens are the number five killer of HUMANS in the United States.

Because I hate being tormented and invaded and defiled. (Is that something that is unique)

Because I am a grown woman who can eat and walk and pee and breathe how I want and need to when I want and need to, thank you very much!
Because, from the moment you walk in that hospital door, they will systematically do over 20 things that are antithetical to birthing normally.

Because it only m a d e s e n s e.

I LOVE that you are doing more blogs! They are great and I can't wait to read more!

I hope that I was/am one of the few who ask questions about birth. Now that I know that you don't care if I ask TONS about a home birth, be prepared!
